What do people drink in Germany?

Rebeca Mckin: Yes, of course we also drink non-alcoholic drinks, otherwise we all would be alcoholics. We drink (depending on one's own taste) mineral water, several kinds of juices, juices mixed with mineral water, then of course coffee, cappuccino, tea, ice-tea, milk, cola, fanta, soda etc... This list could be continued indefinitely. I guess it's the same stuff that Americans use to drink, too. By the way, not every German likes beer just because he's German. It's still a matter of taste. Not to mention the fact that there are many people who drink only few or no alcohol at all....Show more

Shan Lanen: they drink schnapps!! but yea just the general coca cola, lemonade, orange juice and water that everyone else drinks!

Debora Rinderer: They drink just about the same things as in the US. Beer obviously, in Bavaria its actually considered an emergency food, although Germans aren't the biggest beer drinkers in the world. If you ask for water in a restaurant it ! will be mineral water, they would wonder why you want tap water (crazy americans). Lemonade is a very popular non-alcoholic drink. Also a Radler (half beer, half soda or lemonade. Fruit juices and sodas as well. Normally all of these are served without ice. Schnapps are served as well, but not the kind found in the US, schnapps just means a liqueur or aperitif. During winter McDonalds sells a Gluehwein (warm spiced wine). Different regions also have beverages popular to the locals, just like where you live....Show more

Mitsuko Manne: Coke...they drink that everywhere.

Corrina Faro: watter maybe some orange juice or something
