I don't like Hard drives because you eventually have to put them on a DVD, and I don't like DVD cameras because it degrades the quality. A lot of pros go miniDV, it's been around a while and now you have HDV (which is miniDV, but HD). I myself have been interested in the Canon HV30, which is a HDV camera that has had some pretty good reviews. Next step up is closer to to the $900 range. Lenses are slightly larger as are the imaging chips.Camcorders using different media store different digital video file formats. The common media available toda! y used by consumer camcorders are MiniDV tape, hard disc drive (HDD), flash memory and DVD.Digital video compression = discarded video data = reduced video quality.DVD based camcorders immediately drop from the short list because they compress the digital video stream the most of the available storage media resulting in poor video quality. Their video can be challenging to transfer to a computer.HDD and Flash memory (like the FS100 uses) use the same digital video files types - hence similar video compression and quality can result. I stopped recommending HDD camcorders when I learned of their known problems with loud audio (and the resulting vibration) and high altitude. In both cases, HDD camcorders' hard drive heads can park and not capture any video. Loud audio could be a loud crowd or marching band - or amplified music or heavy machinery or other loud engines, among other sources. Once the Command prompt opens up type IPCONFIG in the black box then press enter. Look at what your gatway IP address is! . It should be in the ballpark of 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1, ! if it something wild like 169.123.xxx.xxx then your not even connecting to the router. Burt Cheevers: Contact the appropriate dealer (i.e. if it's a chevy contact a chevy dealer) and give them the VIN number for the car (this usually can be found on a plate at the front of the drivers side of the dashboard which can be read from the outside) and order touch up paint and a clear coat touch up for the vehicle. Follow the directions on the paint and clear coat--apply the touch-up paint first then the clear coat touch up--and then finish by applying a car wax (Turtle wax and Meguiars are good brands). Buy the correct oil. It should say in Owners manual or on oil filler cap. should say something like 10W-30. rotate and balance- rotate tires means to move the front tires to the back and back ones to the front. This makes sure the tires wear evenly since the engine is on front and thats where most of the weight is. Balance tires means they add small weights to the tires so when it spins, it spins evenly and so it doesn't feel like the tires are egg-shaped. If tires are worn and look the same then you dont need rotation. If car drives and handles at high speeds then you don't need balance. battery service- you can do this yourself make sure battery terminals are clean and tight four wheel alignment-this make sure your tires are all straight. If you're driving and your car doesn't drive.! to the side, then you dont need it. engine oil additive- really don't need this. Just buy some high quality oil like Castrol, Mobil1. If your car has high mileage get high mileage oil fuel system cleaner- that is basically the small bottle of fuel treatment that cleans injectors.If you're not having any problems I wouldnt get it. Change your own oil and use some additive with the oil or just buy some high mileage oil that has the stuff in it already. You can clean you own battery posts and connections.
