Esteban Faggett: Hobbies are a life long pursuit. Some will come and go quick, others will be years, or decades long.I was one of those kids who had all kinds of hobbies, and now marching towards 40, I collect ex-Military Trucks to fix them up, and annoy my neighbors and environmentalist to no end.Cooking a good hobby, because there are so many different ways to cook than just the perceived French style. You can cook in the ground with meats and soups like they do in lower Mexico out in your backyard, you can try to build your own grills and ovens (handmade earthen ovens). If you figure something unusual and neat, you might be able to sell the idea. Many silly inventions have made many millionaires because they saw a little something, and then marketed it.If you have the Internet there, let your Google or Yahoo get the best of you, and explore stuff you like in different ways. You will get new perspective on how things work. I am also guessing you are on a limited budget! ed, not like the ones you get when you graduate from college and have an extra few thousand to throw around. Keep your hobbies in reach of your budget.I always wanted to learn how to fly when I was your age, and never got enough money to really start and finish my flying program. My parents did get me up in the sky, but they were banking on my getting disinterested in it before it got too expensive, as it did, and then I was grounded. I see some opportunity in rc planes and helicopters, if you can get by the initial investment. The future of aviation, particularly in the Military is going to be all remote control one day. The real impressive part would be building your own plane from scratch. Lots of parts to find, and a lot of extra little engineering that's fun to learn. My all time fun dream would be to build a small solar powered plane with a GPS unit in it. Have it go around and take pictures of different areas, based off Google Maps, and bring it back home on reverse ! coordinates. Sounds geeky, but if you did, you would be on the! news, and probably guarantee you a spot in college with that accomplishment....Show more
Eldridge Rieves: I am glad you are getting away from the video games. My son played way to much and I had to stop it before he lost his mind. Other hobbies he has are baseball, carving things like fishing lures from wood (he uses a Dremel), model cars, and reading. If you visit a crafts store you might see something that looks cool there.
Will Camus: you should try women... there my biggets hobby, my biggets addiction.... and they wont make fun out of that...and you should be learning about now... what they like, what they dislike, how they think, how they feel, everything.... on sports u should try basketball... common sport, everyone likes it, everyone likes playing it... and whats more fun than playing a half court with 3 other buddys... better yet... try everything... and you will know whats good for you... if u like .videogaames... heck ! play em ! ..............! .. ohh and i forgot! Elissa Curlin: If you like cooking you can try some easy(cheap) recipes from internet and share them at home.I think if you let your folks knew you want to do something good for yourself instead of doing dumb things like looking at porn..they will help you...try your community center and school for free craft types and classes...
Maurice Breuning: You might try "napping" or making of arrowheads, spearheads out of stone by hand. You make your own tools, find your own rocks and chip them into shape. There are even clubs and aw! ards and stuff.
Jerald Florence: Read National Geographic and the! n figure out how to travel to the places in the magazine. I love climbing mountains, because the experience at the top is so out of this world.
Launa Weingarten: 1 word and 1 word only; Legos.
Caryl Mclaen: thats good that ur not watching porn wit ur friends! ummmmmm try reading? i like to read. ummm since u like cooking u should cook
Christy Tirabassi: go buy a car racing game cas if you can beat them at that then they will think your a good race car driver, cas everyone drives cars but if you can beat them then you beat them at there game
Alphonso Brake: My boyfrind is also into martial arts he has began doing tai chi, and he also rents lesson dvds from netflix and realy enjoys them and I must say that it has cut his game time down and also helped him be more relaxed, and being something you are already interested in will be easy for you
Cletus Crotts: Judging from your description, I think you'd like to do some challenging hands-on hobby. ! I'd suggest picking up an instrument, like guitar. It's a great experience and takes lots of practice to master. You may enjoy it enough to begin taking lessons. Otherwise, tinker around with technology and mechanical stuff, try taking things apart and putting them back together (of course, ask your parents first, or find some junk at a yard sale). You could learn a lot and help other people fix things. If none of these suits you, research! There's plenty of stuff out there for you to do: painting, woodwork, rock climbing, DIY, sculpting, remote controlled model building. I'm sure you'll find something great....Show more
Shad Bushweller: woodcarving, baking (you can make cookies and pastries , but the supplies do cost a little bit ), cooking (maybe you could do the evening meal a few days a week) , learn to play an instrument , read more. On the computer you could learn to program , microsoft has some programming languages that you can download free.
Ben! nie Lantgen: Okay I'm totally just throwing this out there. But right n! ow a lot of the guys I know are really getting into knitting hats. I know it might seem a little feminine. But you can get this supplies at any craft store for cheap and it's actually fun to do. Plus you can sell them to people you know for like $10 a hat. My brother he's 15 and he's really gotten into this and makes probably $50 a week off these hats. He started a company with some of his friends and they also make silkscreen t-shirts. It takes a while to get good at knitting but now he can pound out a hat in 30 minutes....Show more
Noah Deni: judging by your user name, you like music. take up the guitar and singing! since you play video games a lot, you are probably good with your hands and guitar requires just that! I bought a guitar for $100 just to learn on and it was challenging at first, but once you learn it is soooo much fun!you could also get into more physical activities like sprinting, tennis, lacrosse, some other sports....Show more
Wally Gower: Wha! t are your other interests? My boyfriend builds guitars and pedals...Pedals are a little more complex and you need to know electronics quite well but the guitar thing could work. Hit up home depot for some poplar wood and barnes and noble for a book on how to make guitars...if your not into that i am sure you can check out a book store and find topics on almost anything "How to"...Good Luck....You could probably even find a "How to choose a new hobby.." :)...Show more
Lynn Hollars: Well if you want a hobby that takes time and is really fun try stenciling! You need a steady hand, a knife (razor), a printer, cardboard or paper, and spray paint. Everything is cheap, and easily accessible (aside from the printer). If you want to give it a try here is a great site with tons of stencils to get you started:http://stencilpunks.mattrunningnaked.com/Remember, all the stencils on this site are free to use and share but not to sell. So please promote it but not abuse it.Cheers, an! d good luck....Show more
Berry Gilmore: dota is very fun. the mai! n game is called warcraft.if youre more into sports, then try playing tennis with a couple of your friends. it clears your mind and its extremely fun as well. you may think its boring, but once you get the basics, it starts to take over your life, just like it took mine -o-
Merlin Fleischhacker: Why dont you pick up a musical instrument? i would strongly recommend guitar. It may seem generic, but trust me you wont regret it.
Pasquale Pollet: you sound like a model airplane or car person.but i recommend sports or other types of martial arts
Nell Dipiero: I like oragami, or you could pick up writing if yo like to write.. hmm... Could always start going to a gym and start boxing, thats what I do, its a blast, Muay Thai is great!!
Alise Rutgers: cooking, and maybe something musical instrument.
Darren Heling: hey little dude, don't worry, giving into peer pressure is more to do with drinking and smoking than playing final fantasy.. you're on the rig! ht track. cooking is a great hobby, keep it up. If you're looking for other hobbies just try and think about what you are interested in. Remember that at your age you can learn skills incredibly quickly and well, like instruments. my advice is to start while you're young.
Janeen Perona: World of Warcraft sounds like its for you.or yeah a musical instument or drama.they are both great!
Stanton Villao: Try reading everything you can on how to start, run, and manage a business. Learn the advice, learn the leadership principles, learn the theory. Then in about 5 years when you graduate High School prove everyone wrong, start and maintain a successful business- sell it and play all the video games you want! Look at Mark Cuban owner of the Dallas Mavericks!
Rosalva Steinmann: Try performing arts at school. Marching Band is a great way to take up time and its fun too. Try drama, its a great way to meet new people. If you're not into being in "Adoptive families" ! because that is what band is, try painting. And if you like cooking, fi! nd some recipes and make cookies and such from scratch. And if you are still stuck on your video games, try to get a wii. It's exercise and a video game in one! Good luck!
Donella Vasta: Wow, there are so many things that you can do. If you enjoy cooking then you should get a good cook book and start experimenting with recipes. Maybe woodworking would be interesting for you if you like working with your hands. Model Cars can be a popular hobby for boys your age--especially if you have a good eye for detail. My suggestion would be to go to something like Hobby Lobby or Michaels or something like that in your area and just walk the aisles and perhaps get some ideas. You may find something that really catches your interest! I'm glad that you want to take some time away from the gaming....as that is a recreational thing that should be done in moderation. Have fun with your new hobby!...Show more
Mel Crapo: i love to draw... when in class, at home, everywhere ! i draw. i don't know if ure any good but that's a good hobby and all you need is a pencil and paper, or markers or color pencils. u can draw what ur feeling, very good way of relieving you mind and it makes me happy! it takes me a while to draw...
Catheryn Barringer: What a wise young man! Good on you for getting out from the addiction of gaming. I think it's brilliant that you are interested in cooking - you're only a teenager, if you really nurture this interest, you will reeeeally impress the girls when you get into your late teens/early twenties and beyond. Not only that but it is one hobby that can potentially become a career too, as you could become a chef, or a baker, or get into catering. I hope you really go far with this hobby and always enjoy it.I also think you sound quite intelligent, so how about learning a musical instrument? That whiles away the hours in a very pleasant and productive way, and in the future can lead to some great social contacts too, th! rough bands/orchestras, etc, that you may like to get involved in. The ! other thing I thought you might enjoy is building model kits. It's very creative and interesting, you can start small and build up your skill level and build up to progressively more expensive and impressive kits. I think you're going to do just great at whatever you turn your hand to. You sound like one really great kid....Show more
David Kuper: lol nothing wrong with playing alot of games.if u want to start a yu-gi-ho card colletion i can get u started
Antonia Mogg: Maybe try an after school activity. Maybe a sport or some sort of club? You could try to paint, or play an instrument. There are DVDs out that can teach you how to play the guitar right from your own home. Some of them will even come with the guitar. Try skateboarding, or rollerblading, or biking. Drawing, or writing, or learn a new language...
