what was your first motorcycle?

Carlton Lastrapes: 50cc scooter, real bike? 1983 ke100, road the flying sh!* out of it!! :D

Lewis Ranft: Honda CBR 600 , awesome!

Adan Alipio: 1977 Yamaha YB100

Bo Perham: 1942 Harley 45, in 1952. Still Ride.Tomcotexas

Freeman Rutkin: 1973 Kawasaki Z1 900

Elvin Weichbrodt: 1983 CB1100FI survived the experience, barely. Never did learn to ride on that bike, but thankfully my second bike was a VF500F and I then got to start learning how to Ride motorcycles. 21 years later, and I've had a Ninja 250 in my garage for the past 7 years and I sure wish I would have known about it back when I started. :D...Show more

Jude Colbenson: 1968 BSA 441 Shooting Star I bought new. Traded it in to Tomcotex for a new 1968 Kawasaki 650 W2TT about 9 months later. I suppose the real question is what kind of riding are you expecting to be doing? If you are attracted to the sport bikes, the 250 Ninja will give you great handling without enough horsepower to! put you in orbit. It will teach you the basics and will either satisfy your needs or whet your appetite for more.

Verena Koop: 1978 Honda CX 500 got it for free, had to get it running cost me 350 to get her going and it was a great bike no other problems the three years I had it.

Torri Tippey: A '66 HONDA Super 90, 9 hp, did about 65 MPH, Abourt $695 new, I bought mine a year later for the best $150 I ever spent. Carried about 350 lbs( 200+ friend, all over town.

Chris Rosenkranz: 1998 Suzuki Marauder. 800cc bike. Don't waste your money on the 250. That's what I did. My friends told me the Suzuki was a good "starter bike." After a week I was well aware of the lack of power. Get a bike for the type of riding you want to do. Unless you're going to commute off the highway, or very little highway, not planning on doing any canyon type riding, and want more gas mileage than fun, get something else. Don't let people scare you away from a bike you fall in love ! with for a "starter bike."Enjoy your experience. It's a great ! way of commuting and the greatest hobby I've ever had....Show more
