( with a limit ; 100 Celsius will kill ) It can be compared with dissolution of sugar in warm water ( quicker ) and ice cold water ( very slow !).That is why Fungi , mold , bacteria and higher organisms show better / quicker growth at higher temp.In Addition water is essential for growth . BUT for fungi excessive water can be detrimental for growth .Instead , high amount of MOISTURE in the air keep their cells in a peak condition.Thus . warmth ( NOT HEAT PLEASE ) coupled with high humidity is heaven for them ....Show more
