Elden Dedon: there is no way to stop sound coming out the HDMI cable, so just turn the TV volume to zero. As for the faint optical signal, make sure the adapter is plugged securely into the back of the 360, and make sure the optical cord has no tears in it, and that both optical ports are clean and not obstructed, as it is important that the beam of light gets through clearly in an optical signal.
Renay Billiar: No I wouldnt and if you happy with the memory and your system you have now I wouldn't take the big hit on selling your system you have now.
