Is studying abroad - generally - terribly expensive?

Jade Ohno: Many times it's actually cheaper than studying in the US. At my university, studying abroad seems expensive simply because my tuition is so cheap ($7000/year), however, many of the programs that it offers has you pay for at home tuition as an exchange student, while another student pays for at-home tuition in their university and is sent to my university.Anyways, when studying abroad, it's usually cheapest to either enroll in a program through your university or directly to the school you want to go to.
