Season Confalone: Basically it's saying/asking what the outlook/opportunities for the future is/are for the position you're interested in. It could be very good, good, fair, bad, very bad, low, high, average, etc. It depends on the wording they choose. For example, the Occupational Outlook Handbook released by the US Dept of Labor says this for the "Job Outlook" for "Teachers: Self-Enrichment Education": "Employment of self-enrichment education teachers is expected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations, and job prospects should be favorable. New opportunities arise constantly because many of these kinds of jobs are short term and they are often held as a second job." That would be the outlook for something like a piano teacher.
